About Us
In May 1997,
Multi-Services International set up a small index of restaurants and
hotels on the Internet. A few months later we started offering web sites
to our clients. Increased success led us to soon become Malta’s largest
Point-of-Presence Providers. By then, our client base had expanded to also
include companies involved in manufacturing and other sectors of industry.
In January 1998, our
Internet division began trading under the name Malta On-line, later
changed to Malta Online. As the Malta Online web site continued to grow,
the navigational structure of what had now developed into a full-scale
portal could no longer be defined as user-friendly. This led us, in
January 2001, to completely re-design the portal. This in turn opened up
avenues to those wishing to take advantage of a major advertising medium
reaching both Maltese and foreigners alike.
Amongst the
sections featured on Malta Online, apart from the well-established
QuickStart Index and Malta Real Estate Index, one could now find Malta
Information pages (courtesy of the Malta Tourism Authority), Internet
Downloads, Picture Gallery, Local News, Books About Malta and a
Currency Converter.
Throughout this
time Malta Online has grown and grown always expanding and evolving into a
bigger and better portal. Of course growth requires change, and that
change duly came in January 2004, when Malta Online was again put through
a near total design overhaul and now boasts a friendlier look, easier
navigation tools, more information and names such as:

It
is important to mention that Malta Online has grown to the point where it
now boasts over 1,000,000 unique users per year, clicking through an
average of 7.5 pages each. As you can thus see, from very small
beginnings and no name, Malta Online has been steadily growing over the
years to the point where it is now truly a household name.
